Hours you can rerun

Programmes for named groups, a catalogue by game situation, and the warm-ups and mini games that fill the hour. Same account as the rest of Padel Pals.

This is not a booking product. That sits on Group Lessons. Coach Planner is the session library: what the hour is for, how it is timed, and which game you put in the warm-up or the conditioned block. Bookings stay in the club app. These pages are for the coach standing on court.

Two kinds of hour

They can look alike from the fence. They are not the same job. The library keeps them in separate sections so you do not mix them by accident.

A drill

Repetition of something they can already do. You set it up and you feed. One focus, announced at the start, then volume. Tight rotations, corrections to the group, nobody waiting. They leave having hit a lot of balls and worked on one thing. Up to eight. These are the reusable hours on a programme.

Coaching

A change they can name afterwards. You watch before you teach, demo one point, teach it fed, open it up, then finish in the game with feedback on what that player needs to change. Three or four, tight band. The hour is spent on them, not on the group.

What fills the hour

Warm-ups, mini games and short overhead extras live in their own library. A drill points at these instead of rewriting the 0–8 and 47–58 slots. Catch the glass, Dead Zone, Glass Galore, a Mini Americano: pick one and run it.

Where each one sits

The lesson structure funnels from wide to narrow. A drill lives in the middle: closed, then open. Watching first, and individual feedback inside the scored game, is what the smaller coached session adds. Drills still finish with a conditioned mini-game. That is a scoring rule on the focus, not one-to-one coaching.

What's on a reusable drill

One named group, one focus, a shared 60-minute hour. The lesson only writes what is different: the demo, the closed block, cue packs, and a toolkit of warm-ups and mini games.

The sentence you announce

One objective in the first minute, plus what good looks like. Situation, phase and tactic tagged so you can find the same problem in the catalogue.

STEP, not a split

How to step it up or down without splitting the group. Space, task, equipment, people, so a mixed eight still hits.

One sheet for the fence

Print the sentence, the three cues, and the timed hour. The page grows only if the brief will not fit.

A sheet you can take to the fence

Open a reusable hour, pick the cue pack and the games that match who turned up, then print. The booking still lives on Group Lessons. This page is the plan.

Named groups, not a rating scale

Another coach can run the hour without sharing your club's numbers. Pick the group in front of you, then STEP it.

Intro to Padel

New faces most weeks. Same hour every time, one rotating flavour: grip, movement, rules, glass, volley, lob, positioning.

Beginner / Improver

Fourteen reusable hours. Rally as a pair, start the point, take and keep the net, then play under score.

Improver / Intermediate

Fourteen reusable hours. Serve and keep the net, survive and build, both at net, then constrained match play.

Advanced

Four coached hours for a 5.0+ group of three. The fast overhead, the kick, the late ball, then one rule for the point.
