Terms of Service - Padel Pals

1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of the Padel Pals mobile app and related services. By using Padel Pals you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Padel Pals is operated by Ben White, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

2. Your account

You need a valid Apple ID and must sign in via Sign in with Apple to use the app.
You're responsible for any activity on your account. Keep your Apple ID secure.
You must be 18 or over to make a payment through the app.
You can delete your account at any time via the "Delete Account" option inside the app.

3. Tips / donations

Tips are voluntary and help support ongoing development of the app.
Tips are offered only on our website at padelpals.app/tip.html (not inside the iOS app). You must be signed in on the website with the same account you use in the app.
Tips go directly to the developer (Ben White).
Tips are non-refundable except where required by law (e.g. in the event of a technical failure that took your money without delivering the acknowledgement).
Tipping does not entitle you to any additional features, functionality or digital content inside the app.

4. Coaching lessons

Coaching is not yet available to all users and rolls out by invitation only. When it is enabled for your account, the following applies:

Lessons are 1:1 padel coaching sessions delivered in person at the location agreed with your coach.
Prices are shown in the app before you confirm. You pay at the time of booking; the booking is confirmed once Stripe tells us the payment has succeeded.
Cancellation policy (default): full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before the start time; no refund within 24 hours. Individual coaches may publish a different policy on their profile — where they do, that policy takes precedence.
If the coach cancels, you will receive a full refund.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. By paying for coaching in the app, or for tips on the website, you also accept Stripe's consumer terms. Padel Pals never sees or stores your card details.

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

6. Acceptable use

While using Padel Pals you agree not to:

Submit false match results that damage other players' ratings.
Use the app to harass, threaten or impersonate other players.
Attempt to bypass payment or access paid features you haven't purchased.
Reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise interfere with the service.
Upload illegal, infringing or offensive content.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.

7. Availability

We aim for the app to be available 24/7 but make no guarantee. We may take the service down for maintenance, updates or for any other reason without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its source code, designs and trade marks are owned by Ben White. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Any match data you submit remains yours; you grant us a licence to store and display it as needed to run the service.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Changes

We can update these terms. If we make a material change we'll notify you in the app or on this page. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
