Tournaments

Run a tournament on the night, with a start time and a finish time, or over a few weeks with play-by dates. Groups, a knockout, and a last match for everyone.

Tournaments live under Competitions → Tournament, next to Box Leagues. Club admins create them. Players see them on Home, sign up, and follow the groups and knockout on one page. Padel and tennis, doubles and singles. Results feed the same player levels and badges as the rest of the club.

Two ways to run it

Pick when it is played when you create the tournament.

On the night

One date and a start time. Set the courts and the number of pairs and the app shows the run time and when you'll finish, before anyone books a court.

Over a period

A start and end date. Players arrange each round by a play-by date, like a box league, with an optional Finals Day to finish it together.

Play now or sign-ups

Play now for a walk-up night: add the players, form pairs and draw. Sign-ups to open it to the club first, with a deadline, a level range and an optional entry fee.

Plan the night, see the finish time

Choose groups then a knockout, and where the knockout starts: a final, semi-finals or quarter-finals. Only the options that fit your numbers are shown. Turn on everyone else plays a placing match and every pair gets a last match and a finishing place. Short on time on the night? Change the knockout when the groups finish, or skip the placing matches.

Create tournament: two groups, a final, placing matches and the expected finish time

Or run it over weeks

Pick Over a period and set the dates. Each round has a play-by date, players book their own courts, and a Finals Day brings everyone together at the end.

More sign-ups than places

Let places fill first come, first served, or let players say they're available and pick the line-up yourself: by rating, at random, in sign-up order, or with a saved club format. Everyone else becomes a reserve in call-up order, and players are told whether they're in or a reserve. If someone drops out, the next reserve is called up.

Groups and knockout on one page

Players open the tournament and see where they stand: the stage, their next match and an Enter result button. Group tables show every score and who goes through. The knockout pages round by round, opening on the round in play, and finishes with a full standings table.

Round by round to the final

Swipe or tap through the rounds. Players enter their own results, and the next round fills straight away. Ties are settled by wins, sets, games, head to head and then rating.

Set up the way your club plays

The match format and the draw are yours to choose.

Match format

Standard sets or Fast 4s, one set or best of three, a super tiebreak or a full third set, golden point or advantage.

Fair pairs and draws

Form pairs of a similar level, or balanced pairs that put the strongest with the weakest. Big fields can be split into draws by rating.

Knockout only, or groups first

A straight knockout, or groups then a knockout. With uneven groups, spare places go to the best next-placed teams so every round is full.
